SYD-Ⅰ Small CNC Hydraulic Tamping Machine | Railway Maintenance Equipment

SYD-Ⅰ Small CNC Hydraulic Tamping Machine is a specialized machine for tamping ballast beneath railway sleepers. Designed for B2B railway maintenance operations, it allows a single operator to control all functions efficiently, reducing labor requirements.
Powered by a combination of 13.5 kW + 5.7 kW + 5.7 kW gasoline engines, it features separate hydraulic and vibration systems for precise tamping operations. The hydraulic system is PLC-controlled, enabling automated movement, tamping depth adjustment, and rail clamping.
The machine is suitable for standard and concrete sleepers and can be customized with different engine or vibration configurations according to project requirements. CE and ISO certifications available on request.

Operating The Hydraulic Tamping In Railway
1. Preparation: Fill all engine tanks with 90+ octane unleaded gasoline.
2. Engine Startup: Start the main and auxiliary engines, ensure throttle and key are in operating position, allow preheating.
3. Tracking: Preheat main engine, activate control system via remote, raise tamping unit, install lower track frame, align and move machine above track.
4. Tamping Operation: Activate automatic tamping, monitor alignment, reposition if necessary, then complete tamping and perform routine shutdown and maintenance.
5. Lowering Track: Raise tamping unit, position lower track frame, align and rotate rails, install connecting rod, complete operation and open line.

Use Of Running Clutch
1. The travel clutch has two gears: powered travel and manual push travel.
2. Pull clutch lock handle vertically for manual push mode; release to lock. Machine moves by manual push.
3. Tilt clutch handle for powered travel mode; release to lock. Machine moves using engine power.
Transfer Job
1. Set travel clutch handle in maneuver position.
2. Start main engine.
3. Operator uses crossbar handle and power distribution box to move vehicle forward or backward rapidly.
4. Monitor vehicle status and maintain safe distance; reduce speed on switches.
5. Maintain sufficient distance when transferring multiple vehicles.
Regular Maintenance And Repair
Perform every 50 hours:
- Inspect or replace pin bushings, shaft sleeves.
- Weld tamping picks back to original dimensions.
- Filter or replace hydraulic oil; clean or replace return filter element.
- Replace defective parts and seals, fix oil leaks.
- Lubricate vibration box.
- Maintain engines per manufacturer specifications; replace oil filters regularly.
